| Store |
Whilst the Drill Hall at Derby Barracks was refurbished, the shop was situated in two of our vast garages in the grounds but now we have a brand new store open in the former drill hall. Here you can find household goods and furniture, books, bric-a-brac, clothes, office furniture and much more all at very reasonable prices. |

| Collection of Household Items |
The items we have for sale at the Barracks are all donated goods, for which we offer a collection service. If you have any unwanted items then please get in touch and we will be pleased to give you further details and/or arrange to pick them up. There are very few things that we are unable to take but one of these is upholstered furniture that doesn’t comply with fire regulations which came into effect in 1988. All upholstered furniture must display a label stating the British Standard Safety Number. To arrange a collection: email: emmaus@bl36nf.wanadoo.co.uk or telephone: 01204 398056 |
| Recycling | Social Furniture Scheme | |||
Anything that can’t be repaired will be taken apart and reused in whatever way possible, for instance wood that is unusable will be burnt in our wood burning stove, which will heat the workshop. |
The Social Furniture Scheme exists to enable people on
benefits to purchase furniture and household goods at a nominal fee. People are usually referred to us by relevant housing agencies and we try to supply the items requested.
